I guess you can call it that. It's a cheapo Walmart flat screen and oddly enough I wasn't very impressed with it's picture previously but my cable box died the other day.I called and arranged for the tech to come and check it out and he winded up replacing the box with a newer smaller model and for some reason the tv picture is much much better with the newer box so I'm quite happy with it now.

I think he's taking about why your picture is much better on your tv. Did you upgrade to a HDMI cable?
I didn't but the new box seems to be connected with one that the tech provided.
20171216_145648.jpgthe middle one,of course.
20171216_145722.jpghere is the end that connects to the tv....totally different from the old box.

you where more than likes hooked up with old school patch cables or VGA cable. while your TV supports those they do not take advantage of the HD of your TV, you might be finding the sound is also better, going to past what a HDMI is,

Short for High Definition Multimedia Interface, HDMI is a connector and cable capable of transmitting high-quality and high-bandwidth streams of audio and video between devices. The HDMI technology is used with devices such as an HDTV, Projector, DVD player, or Blu-ray player. The picture to the right is an example of an HDMI cable.
