it is a Florida gar. For a lot of people, every gar is alligator gar so a Florida gator gar is just a Florida gar rather than any hybrid or a gator gar.
that's a relief. Last thing I need is another fish that's going to outgrow every tank I have. Now on to the challenge of getting him off live food.

Hello everyone! Relatively new to the forums, signed up because I have a little (and hopefully going to stay that way) monster in my tank! I bought him at a hobby shop, and they weren't specific on what kind of gar he is. I want to say he's a Florida gar, but I'm not too sure. Keeping him in a 65 gallon tank with my angel fish, and they get along swimmingly (they really do, honestly didn't mean to slip in the pun)
