Thanks very much! :headbang2

I do like that shot, I just wish I had a better camera :)

It's Friday afternoon and, contrary to my habits, I went directly home after work... the weather is crap and I didn't feel like going to the pub... so here I am, typing away about my fish and tanks... :)

The 2 small RTGGs are doing fine - eating a lot of flakes and freeze-dried bloodworms :) The one with the deformed jaw still looks a little battered - some scales missing and I suspect the other one picking on it when I'm not watching - but I have hope that it will get better and grow strong. BTW, my crayfish has decided that she doesn't like the tank decor and is moving the fake plants around. I hate what she's doing to the look of the tank and I'm thinking of ways to fix the plants better so she wouldn't be able to mess with them.

In the big tank, the RTGG seems fine as well... a little bit shy and reluctant to eat her pellets (I haven't tried anything new since the carrot experiment). She does swim around but doesn't look as bold as the other fish. And, I believe the pacu bit off half of one of her feeler-like fins. I guess it'll grow back. The pacu is normally a very gentle giant but is very curious - I guess it must have wanted to check out the taste of that trailing thingie... :screwy:

The water in the tank is clear now (though I would've preferred it to be clearer - I need to review my filters, especially for mechanical filtration). On Wednesday we had a 2-hour power-cut and one of my canisters is buzzing from time to time now... guess I would have to check out for any misaligned trays or air pockets.

Tomorrow I should be getting another 2 kg of Aquaclay... and I also have a water change and gravel vacuuming scheduled...

That's about it :)

Can you please post some full tank shots?

I would also appreciate some specifications about your tank... size, stocking, filtration... ;)

Don't worry they break them all the time and they grow back just fine, no treatment needed, George has only recently kept them growing without breakage for a month or so

Not an expert by any stretch on this but when things buzz I find a good kick works things out perfectly;)

My RTGG have finally started feeidng in the pond its taken nearly 2 weeks to get em too.
Probably in a mood because of the change in environment, glad everything is ok now

Small update, he's stopped picking on the moonlights, the dollar is still alive in the tank of marbles but is just hanging on, I've treated today with sterazin, not something I like to treat with, it either works or finishes them off. The dollar hasn't moved for two days so I had no option, the best I can hope for is to nurse it back to health and find another home for it:(

When you've finished indulging Lou in his filtration fetish, full tank shots would be:cool:

Keep the pleco as the main shot but keep the gg in the same shot to keep on topic;)

Whoa! That tank is incredible! 10 x 4 x 2.5... this is what would have been perfect for my pacu... such a pity I'm on the first floor and weight is a problem... :(

I really love the decor of your tank, my friend :) It's really awesome :) Now that's a tank that would have deserved a MFK sticker :)

And, as you are in Australia, you could even have a Barramundi in it! ;) What do you say, Bruce? ;) A platinum one just like in your avatar maybe ;)

I'm seeing that you use bulkheads in your tank for your water ins and outs... can you provide close-up of these? I'm really interested in those... (as Yanbbrox mentioned, I have a filtration fetish ;))

The weather has gotten worse today... it seems that it's gonna be a rotten week-end... :(

Sahweet... Super tank there, really nice. I really love the fact that you used live plants in it. The more I see tanks like that the more I get closer to getting one. When you say 10x4x2.5 the 2.5 isn't the height is it? it's the depth?

Anyway that is truly a beautiful tank, driftwood and live plants, blue back ground and sides Awsome truly awsome.
