Mine doesn't like to jump as such just some times bang on the hood, in the wild they will jump for fruit and berries, I think this is just the same thing

Try greens, lettuce peas etc, they are naturally vegetarian, hang a leave under the hood and I'd be surprised if it doesn't have a nibble. Mine went(and still does) goes through spurts of growth then doesn't eat much for a good few days, when it eats it eats a lot

In keeping with my above comments, ours is totally off food at the moment, even cheese, I'm expecting a huge growth soon, these thing go in cycles, I find they tend to starve themselves before a big intake:WHOA:

It's been a while since I've posted some pictures... well, here are some... :)

Fine idea but you'll need to upgrade at some point, ours at current growth rate is going to need a tank upgrade in about 10-12months, could maybe get another 6 months on top of that due to the filtration but wouldn't want to push it much further.

Aggression could be an issue, some are really friendly and placid others are are complete animals, there seem no way to tell until you get it in your tank.

Lou, excellent showing off of your camera skills again:) Seem like the fins are doing a lot better.

R6, pictures are mandatory;);)

Khorn, looks like a real old warrior, lumps and bumps everywhere, big lips looks quite old, what size is it, what is it in and how long have you had the beast?

yeah i have a 300 so... :) but i want to get him small and the bichir small too and i'm pretty sure they'll do fine with the loaches.
