yeah i have a 300 so... :) but i want to get him small and the bichir small too and i'm pretty sure they'll do fine with the loaches.

In a 300~500Gal tank my four would look small, so why don't you start off with them, lol.

I believe your getting confused I'm not English, the English Sell and Purchase everything on eBay. I'm not really interested in selling them anymore because there gonna be hell to catch short of spearing them. I know that catching them at this size there just gonna put up a world of a fight, basically doing alot of superficial demanage to themselvse but I just dont wanna deal with the nonsense that will come with that.

Like when I first purchased one of the females, I had arrived at the LFS late and another customer had picked out the fish. When the sales person went to catch the fish, it bolted and leaped roughly 8~10 feet from its tank. The customer saw this an though the owner assured them it was ok, and if it did die they would refund them there money the customer passed. I sales girl was upset and long story short I took the fish.:screwy:

So what's the plan? If you can't catch them without damage to themselves the tank or yourself if they are in that sort of mood, are you now just going to put up with them?

BTW I have never used ebay myself, to shoot down your stereotypical belief that us UK folk do nothing else;)
My friend who left to live in Ireland many years ago however has no problem sending uk mainland only purchases to my house for forwarding purchased via ebay:irked:
At least I get free accommodation twice a year over there in return;)

Hey everyone this is my first post but not my last :) i just got a GG but im not sure if its a rare breed could you guys let me know :) i got this one and a gray one in the tank and the grey one pushes this guy around do you know if he would be ok? the grey one is only slightly bigger.
Not a rare breed just dyed, Osphronemus goramy. Have you got a picture of the grey one?

Here is the gray one but they seem to be fighting less now :D

Heres my tank do you think its enough for them to grow in with all these fishy's is the dyed GG worth less then the normal ones?

Need more details on tank size and setup to answer correctly but going from the picture alone, probably not.

As to the cost question, gg are very difficult to price, they tend to be purchased small and then out grow the tank quickly which results in either a new tank needing to be sourced or the fish get sold on, more often than not they are given away as this is the only way to get rid of them due to the size involved. Not many people have the space/tank size to grow one fully/adopt a large one needing a new home, dyed or not.
