Here are some pictures of Gussy. Nearly all the scratches you see on the plexi are on the inside of the tank from Gussy kissing it. On the first picture you can see a 1 foot ruler set there for size reference.

Man, that's awesome! :) I suggest you add a black background to your tank... should make the GG even more attractive. It's really a wonderful fish.

Thanks for sharing the picture. :)

By the way, you mentioned he's in a 75 gal...could you please be more specific on the measurements of the tank? LxBxH? He's on his own in there, right?

Big fish!, thanks for the pic,

Loulou, we don't have substrate because it's so much easier to clean the tank without it, a habit we've got into since we got the discus, I'll try and get some more pics up later. If you've sold your ggs what have you got now??

I agree that it is indeed so much easier to keep a tank without substrate clean. :) I used to have my tank like that...then added a thin layer of gravel recently for my cats to dig and play...

Well, yeah, I've sold them...and I wish i didn't. Anyway, it's too late now...though I'm looking for another one...not an albino though...

Does anybody know how many types of GG there are?
A guy in an LFS mentioned Chocolate, Golden, Albino and Rainbow...

Currently I have 2 walking catfish and a clown knifefish in a 5 feet tank (approx. 140 gal). And a small Channa Maculata Snakehead in a 50 gal. :)

Sorry for going a bit latin here, as far as I know there are 4 types:

Osphronemus goramy, common
Osphronemus exodon, elephant ear
Osphronemus laticlavius, red tail
Osphronemus septemfasciatus, can hardly find any info on this, but it is recorded as a sub species of giant
