I have a 12 inch rtgg that I think is a male currently. If I took some pics would someone here be able to confirm sex for me? He currently resides in a 180 with some tinfoil barbs and a small albino Oscar. The Asian fish shop by my house has a few 8 inch rtgg for sale with different looking faces and body shapes. I want to add another GG to my tank and thought that it would be a little easier if I had a pair instead of a same sex pairing. Any feed back welcomed and I can take pics tonight. Thanks.

I'd not been posting in this thread for a while but I want to introduce George and Georgina but Mrs Y is having none of it, she's growing out the grow out tank at the moment. The only other option is the middle tank with fatty

Here are a few so-so pics of my GG. Sorry about the blur factor and the scratched glass. These pictures are from a few weeks ago when he/she was in a different tank. I had a 15 inch Ornate bichir at the time that was taking chunks out of him. Let me know what you think.

Could be, or that could just be because you were checking out the fishes tail too much. I wanna see a head on shot and I would like to know this fishes approx age and size. If it's not too much trouble.

I phrased it in such away just enough to say I was not sure, I went off the mouth and dorsal if you must know

I'm now fairly sure that my pair are the wrong way around. George should be Georgina and Georgina should be George, based on the head/mouth only Being fish I'm sure they won't get too paranoid about it

I'll get the head shot posted tonight. The fish is about 11-12 inches and I don't have a clue as to the age. If I had to guess I'd say about a year old or so. I purchased the fish about 4 months ago. It's head and lip structure was alot pointier when I first received it. In the last couple months it's face has filled out more and the nauchal hump on the fore head seems to be growing.

somehow it looks smaller then 12 inch for some reason.

does anyone have a full grown RTGG? i wanna see pics. i wonder how big they can get?
