note to self again, "need to dress fishies up as dogs when Tequila comes to visit, unless Tequila is asian, then must hide all animals."
Nope Tequila is still a drinkTequila;3603011; said:OMG... , what an awful thing to say or imply about Asian people. Nope Tequila isn't Asian, though he does no many of them.
I just thought that you guys may want another option if you can't sell your fish.

1 whole elephant fish, unscaled (600 - 700 g)
1 litre vegetable oil
3 sprigs coriander
3 tablespoons fish sauce
3 tablespoons white vinegar
3 tablespoons sugar
125 ml water
1 tablespoon lime juice
1 tablespoon diced garlic
1 tablespoon diced chilli
4 tablespoons pounded ginger
Preparation
In a small saucepan, combine fish sauce, sugar, vinegar, water and bring to the boil. Take off heat, transfer to a bowl
and allow to cool. Once cooled add garlic, chilli pounded ginger and lime juice. Set aside.
In a large wok, add oil and bring to 180 degrees Celsius. Slide the whole fish in carefully and cook on high for 5
minutes.
Remove the fish to a platter, dress with 4 tablespoons of ginger fish sauce and garnish with coriander.
Serve with jasmine rice.
Notes: You can use whole snapper as a substitute; however the snapper will have to be scaled.
As soon as I get photo's from this recipe I'll post them too.

It is amazing that most all of the non fishkeepers that see my 225g tank, first are taken back by it's size, then they see the fish and comment on how many meals are swimming inside...
Kinda like asking if they can ride your Great Dane or St Banard dog...
OH! my bad...I thought Tequila was the namesake for a line of shovels...Tequila;3606813; said:What are you thinking of does my online name not say it all. Beer is for people that enjoy pissing alot. All you tree hugging veggy lovers out there, news flash: FISH ARE FOOD, don't believe me ask the fish themselves. Most fish given the chance eat other fish! Just because you give a fish a name doesn't mean you should been eating it.
