This is getting confusing all the way around, the smaller of the two GG in post #3020 is what type of GG?/RTGG?, is what size? and approx what age? Answer these question before I can give you a good answer.

The larger of the two GG appears to be much larger and is not of the same type of RTGG at all, and yes I believe it to be male. Many factors overall size, lips or mouth shape, bump on head yes both males and female display this to some extent, males greater than females. Yes this GG does appear to look very simular to one that Yanbbrox has/had/ or stuck in a hole in the ground out back.

kind of too late now, had them in the tank since last sat. but before purchasing them i made sure they look very healthy. the fish lady who work there (i think she got canned) took very good care of the fishes.

tom is a RTGG. just measured around 5 1/2 inches. purchase in Nov09, so lets just say 6 months. below pics

save some discounted fish at walmart last weekend. a peacock cichlid and 7 tetra. john doe ate one of the tetra :(
