Hi everyone,

I recently purchase a RTGG about 14" he has been fed pellets from the previous guy, but now hes in my tank he will only eat mealworms as my baby arowana only eats mealworms, ive tried to feed him peas, banana, cucumber, hikari cichlid gold pellets, but nothing he will look at it and swim of! I thought Giant Gourami will eat anything!

How long has he been with you? It takes some time for them to feel comfortable, and when he does. look out!

He has been in my tank for about 1-2 weeks...i think he is comfortable...but just extremely picky with food! I want to be able to throw all sorts of food in the tank and watch him eat it!

You'll know for sure when he becomes comfortable with his new surroundings...he'll eat his veggies along with the MW's... extremely picky is not a characteristic of a gg

Some are aggressive and will not tolerate tank mates without a huge tank.

GTGG, sorry wasn't able to meet up with you again. Was out for the day w/ other half... had to make up for valentines day!! Definitely next time for sure when you come up. be sure to bring an appetite!!
