So sorry about George! Yesterday i just read about him in this thread, n was going to check out his updates. Didn't expect the update to be like this! Real sorry!

Please do not sell ur setup! Fish keeping is for life! Go walk around some LFS ok? Maybe there will just be another special fish that will replace George n hopefully help u get over this tough period!

I did walk around an LFS yesterday looking at all possibilities, but all I wanted was George back.

You are sorely missed, George - You were behind what made that thread really popular...

I was never going to find another exodon, I've only ever seen one for sale and that was George. No matter what it's always going to be his tank, so taking pride of place on top is a photo of him:


I went around another LFS today with Mrs Y looking for 'something' but when you've owned one of these beasts in there really is nothing else. So we had a chat and I rang the place where we purchased George to see if they had any in. There was a choice they had an albino GG and some red tails in. It's a bit of a trek to get there, and it's the worst drive you can imagine but off we went.

So then to sum up I'm guessing I'll be boring everyone to death again as baby Grace grows up, there is something really wrong with the world when your MFK sticker is bigger than your monster fish


We also got a couple of honey gourmais for the baby planted tank, to give it something a bit different. Added a couple of moonlights for Grace to play with, and we got yet more tacky ornaments for the Oscar's tank for him to play with, he hates them and takes great pleasure in moving them around and attacking them

GG's are never boring, They are the most interesting species i know and im soooo glad my LFS mislabeled piggy or i would never have had the priviledge of owning such an amazing fish. Their personality is off the charts, they are not a fish but a presence in our homes much like a dog or cat. George was a beautiful fish and will be in your hearts forever, as will my piggy. Grace is beautiful, not George but will fill your life with much joy and happiness. I can see your as passionate about GG's as i am. They are an amazing fish....

Got a couple of updated shots, man I remember how hard it was to take shots of baby George and still I'm struggling with a camera that's 10x better than one I was using years ago.

It's daft for the past three years, we've been removing stuff from the tank to give George some more room, now we are adding things again, when we started to grow George on it was a journey into the unknown, this is different.


Now Brother Zen was right(via email) I forgot just how much these youngsters can get through, before George died he used to get 3 cubes of frozen mix before his normal helping of berries and veg. Grace is getting through 3 half cubes an hour, only a bit a time but I'd totally forgot how much these little ggs with consume.

A friend of mine from back in the "pimprig.com" days did that for me...it is my likeness working on a DirectDie cooling block for an Intel C core. He posted here in my SCRUBBIE thread a while back...jinx...he's a PhotoShop master for grafx and stuff...
