I think acrylic is better due to not having to reseal tanks (which is a pain for me to do)

more confidence with bigger tanks and peace of mind with the weight.

Cheers

I prefer Acrylic over glass. No need to reseal the sealant, no need to worry about accidentally cracking the glass or even breaking the glass simply by bumping into it somehow, that leads to a wet room/floor, carpet. Hardwood or laminate floors would absorb all the water and then it would all be damaged/ruined! Oh.. and all the teeny tiny bits of glass on the ground can be VERY dangerous!
I never heard of anything like that happening to acrylic..... Acrylic is much stronger and durable and light on the weight too, easier to move or transport!

OK, I have been pondering Glass Vs Acrylic for a while and- It may be a stupid question, but theoretically: Could you build an Acrylic aquarium with a glass front? I dont like how bad acrylic scratches, but glass weighs a ton. And in my dreams I imagine myself having a 6' long 500 gallon tank, but which way to go? Its not That big (compared to some you guys/gals have) What Do You Think?

This may have been said already but, being in the glass business I would like to think I have learned a little about it. All regular plate glass (breaks into jagged pieces) does have a greenish tint to it. They make a Starfire or crystal clear glass that is low iron to reduce the greener tint. This stuff is also 5x as expensive. As far as low-e glass goes, it is a solar glass coating and depending on where you are looking through it, it may look green or even have a purple tint to it. Just thought I'd give my 2 cents

Your dream has been made a reality. Of course it will cost you, but honestly I can safely say Acrylic and Glass Exhibits is THE best aquarium manufacturer in the US.
