Green Terror/Synspilum project

Did you get any photos or video of them trying to spawn? Even though it wont work I think they would make an awesome pair. If they make that good of tank mates that they are trying to spawn then congrats to you. I'm working on growing out a Syn to put with my GT right now.

On top of that, lots of people say that Syns are hard to pair. So even if you somehow magically got them to pair you wouldn't get fry from them, so its all wasted time.

You've literally wasted more time typing about how absolutely positive you are that they can't cross than I "wasted" separating these 2 and experimenting with breeding them so I wouldn't say it's a waste of time at all. No point in being negative dude...

I am not trying to be negative or rude at all to you but its gets rather annoying when Kaliedoscope keeps making ridiculous claims with that are not true. What I was saying was is don't spend like 6 months trying to get them to spawn because it won't work.

Severum are South American cichlid and were never used to create Blood Parrots. The original species used to make them were Red Head Cichlid (Vieja Synspilum) and Midas Cichlid (Amphilophus Citrinellus). There is a lot of bad information out there regarding the origins of Parrots but it was indeed the Synspilum used to create them and not Severums.

Yeah it will slow you down, try breeding that Synspilum to a Escondido or a Red Texas that would be interesting.

I did just that.....some of the fry came out AMAZING.....female red texas....male synspilum

sorry forgot to title the pic....that is a male from the fry that I have....many of them are just pure beauties!...he is about 3 inches right now

CrazyCichlids,

What other breeding programs you have right now ?

I have a few tanks full of Escondido x Red Dragon Juvee's.

Some actually faded, which is weird. Father was a Escondido, mom was the Red Dragon flowerhorn.

As they are young they are hard to know what they will turn out looking like.

Any more pics of that one you pictured ? Let's keep in contact, also if you need some of these fishes let me know.

Face it chisplosion admit your wrong I have a midasxsyn looks nothing like a blood parrot looks like midasxsyn makes a rose not a blood parrot your garbage at fishes so just stop because a severing n devil is what made a blood parrot stop being a dummy and apologize to the guy who made the thread.
