I have never had any pulcher. They came from the same store at the same time, but still possible I guess.
The pics of pulcher I’m looking at show multiple vertical stripes, not just 2 or so.

Did you know pulcher means beautiful? But the greens are just as pretty, I think.

A. rivulatus male & female. rivulatus can, will, and do spawn at 2.5 -3" female is in pre spawn color, which ironically is the same color as stress color. in your case they are probably pairing off.
