The shape of the fish play a part in prey selection. The other cats have spiny fins & the pectorals & dorsal fins present a problem swallowing(at least for now) The leich have no such defenses.I have also found cylindrical shape fish are easier targets & for some reason in tanks with contrasting back drops silver fish stick out like a bullseye. sorry for your loss.mkman;1608552; said:HOLY COW@!!!!!!! WOWZERS, can't believe a 3 inch gulper could even do that. I thought gulpers were slow and all? Aros are fast...........I wonder why your gulper doesn't eat its other buddies in the tank?
