Help Me Poly Stock

Hes hard to communicate with being that hes soo busy and ships all over the place thats why i would wait until your ready to place your order. When are you setting up the 180 ?

Figure out your stock list. We can ball park the prices for you. Then email him on what you want.

@Polyaddict86 @Vancouver_98683 @dmcskoolkid

Wouldnt that be the easiest for op ?
That would be easiest. Here is a list I had from him last year be mindful the prices are
More then likely different but some may be the same or similar take it as ballpark and not everything on this list will be available its from 04/16. I'm sure the Lapradei and Endli/congicus prices are around the same can't speak for everything else.

It was actually your Ordering Delhezis thread that was the initial spark of interest, @jaws7777 and others responses were so friendly and welcoming that it made the polys themselves very endearing

This forum is like a vacuum cleaner. We suck the whole website into our forum and make them buy polys. The same thing happened to me. @jaws7777 and @Polyaddict86 among others got me hooked.

Thanks very much man, very helpful. Looks like I'm going on the Ramen/Poly addict diet soon lol

Doesn't seem like the buetterkoferi get a lot of love on here or is it just me? Are they one of the less active polys? They're beautiful

I read about them hiding a lot, so I think that's why. If you didn't have a ton of hiding spots on the substrate you'd probably see them more. I'm sure there are less shy individuals, maybe others here know about people who have ones like that?

From what I have read re: shy bichirs, I feel like I always read about Buettikoferi, Retropinnis, and Mokes hiding.

Too late to edit again - I wonder how many people have grown out large individuals of these species and had them in tanks with less hidey holes, though.

I am considering in my next tank to have more open substrate but plant cover up high, and some branches coming down like near the edge of a body of water. My theory is that I could see them more but yet they would still feel secure because they'd have cover, and it would still look like a natural tank. Trying to figure out a balance there, because my aesthetic as you know is not a bare tank.... that being said, I appreciate people with tanks like that because you can always see everyone. I don't know.

I had one for a short while but didnt survive the ornates rampage. I had just had hip surgery at the time. Their was nothing i could have done smh. But while i did have it i hardly ever saw it.
I've emailed him 3 times with no answer.

Yeah its something you just have to keep at with him. If you want the nice wc lower jaws its just something ya have to deal with. BUT worth it

That's pretty much what I want to do as well, plants are a must for this tank. The idea of a big planted poly tank to me is so appealing, my 30 is a miniature version of what I'm going for with the 180.

I think for the most part the larger they are the less insecure they feel. Seems like the more hides there are they just end up causing more minor injuries than they are worth
