How’s it going so far? Did they spawn? How are the offspring?

I’ve recently found out that my blue line carries leucistic genes, so out of 70 fry, about 9 of them are xanthic. I’m going to separate them and let them grow up with each other. Hopefully they’re all white with bright red tails and lots of blue.

So far so good on my pair, you may remember "Nikolai" from my old thread "the bluest hrp you've ever seen", I've put him in the colony, and he's paired up with one of my Rusty females as well.

I forgot Rusty's line in general carries the platinum gene. I have a group of visual platinums I'm waiting to grow out and breed.

Any news on sending me a super blue male?

And then two of my females I got locally from different sources that are unrelated to each other. I’ll be breeding both to him when I can get to it. Gotta a couple projects in the way but I’ll crack it open soon and get a line going.

They're up, out, and about

so a couple things have been going on:

#1. My blue Gen 1 male, was killed by his son (the blue gen 2 male.) the dad dug underneath the divider sometime during the night/ morning, and was half dead by the time I woke up. I put him in another tank and he lives for another 24hr but just couldn’t hold on. The gen 2 male was slightly larger than his father so I’m sure that’s what lead to him beating him up so bad. I have 1 male that was supposed to send @HybridFinatic but he’s now going to have to take the place of the gen 1 male since his genes are identical.

#2. on the bright side, the group of fry are growing well and they’re from my gen 1 male that passed, and I recently learned they carry xanthic genes. So once those are old enough I’ll be sending them out to people who want them.

Here’s my gen 1 male. I did what I could to save him but his injuries were too severe. RIP “Jetsam”

I think you've got the wrong guy but she's looking about the same as before, she's paired up with my tuic male now

I have four pairs spawning in my 30 long right now, two with fry, two with eggs. The pairs are as follows:
Larger tuic male paired to Chris butcher female
Smaller tuic male paired to Rusty female
Tuic male I bred paired to bioaquatix female
Chris butcher male paired to tuic female

My bad! so many great fish keepers with gorgeous HRP in here lol. But for @Hybridfish7 you have some great genetic diversity with these pairs, have you gotten a chance to see who’s genes are strongest when the fry grow up?
