Yeah I hear you guys are getting crazy weather. 40 degree Celsius is 104 Fahrenheit. (Easier for me to understand lol) I think I heard on the radio less than 1% of you in the UK have air conditioning. Is that right?

You typed that post on Tuesday and it came through to the forum late Thursday! Then I realised you're on probation. I believe the delay is due to probationary members posts having to be "vetted" before being let through. That must be a pita, lol.

To confirm the info you have quoted, yes, your 1% is probably about right. I mean who the hell in their right mind would install air con in miserable, wet, cold blighty! Lol.

If those type of temps start being a regular summer thing I think there will be an increase in air con installations over the coming years that's for sure.

It's Friday morning here now. Those mad mad temps between 35-40°C from Monday and Tuesday seem almost like a dream, as if it never happened. We're back to a very cool 13°C and raining at the moment. Exactly what our blighty summers are famous for, lol.

I believe the hottest ever recorded weather temperature was reached in death valley of about 54°C (130°F). It felt about that hot inside my workboots on Tuesday during the blighty heatwave, lol.
