In an ideal world yes, we'd be treated to a salvo of fantastic pictures, but we're not in an ideal world, we're in surfer dude world. I'm afraid the only pictures we're likely to get treated to are pictures of his injured and/or missing body parts! Lol.
Yeah...I'm not sure that "treated" is the word I would have used...

Well it looks as if esoxlucius esoxlucius has some hot weather these next few days. 93 degrees Fahrenheit is what it predicts. Or 34 Celsius. Stop whining about my pond and pull out your tanning lotion!

Yes indeed, mid 30's here in blighty, highly irregular, but fantastic. I'll be out on my bike later, it'll be like cycling in California, lol.

A long time ago now I brought home a huge plastic tote from work. The plan was to eventually turn it into a bit of a pond, but it's just been sitting in the garden doing nothing really.

Well it's mid 30's here again in blighty and I thought I'd at last put the tote to good use, much to the delight of young Esox.

This is bliss.

That's heartwarming...father and sun sharing a good soak in an aquarium sump...:)

What I can't figure out is how on earth you could have that wonderful container all this time and not have filled it with water and installed fish long ago? :)

Yes, it would be absolutely ideal as a centralised sump placed in a basement filtering multiple tanks......

......and It would also, with a bit of planning and some handywork from an aesthetics point of view, make a great outside pond for plants and fancy goldfish and such......

......but when myself and young Esox are melting in this freak desert weather, turning it into a cool pond for us is a wayyyyy better idea, lol.
