How’s the weather?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Power just came on. Dancing under the AC vents.:mwave:
I can relate. No power, water, ac, internet for 5 days. We so greatly appreciate everyone's thoughts and prayers! Thank you, thank you, thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Foggy weather. I actually like the fog and the condensation on the grass. It is starting to feel like winter and fall (when does fall start). Unfortunately, it looks as if it’s going to heat up next week.

Cool the past couple days, around 4 or 5 C for the daytime high and around zero at nights, and a combination of snow/sleet/ice-pellets for about the last 24 hours. Supposed to get a bit warmer in a few days. Trees mostly bare now; it's been fall for almost a month now. My backyard pond had a thin skin of ice this morning, looked like a sheet of saran wrap...

Say...speaking of ponds...:grinno:

One word sums up the blighty outside climate at the minute, and that word will remain until next spring.....miserable!

I can cope with the weather but it's the shortening of daylight hours that's depresses me most at this time of year.

It's also at this time of year that my wood burner comes into its own. In fact, I can also use one word to sum up the inside climate.....snug! Lol.

Time to spend quality time indoors with family, fish and pets.

Fish and pets I can cope with, but family can bring out cabin fever in me, lol.

Oh...you've obviously met some of my family? :)

If by "cabin fever" you are referencing a barely-suppressed tooth-grinding impulse to go on a murderous rampage that rids the world of a foul and pervasive evil...then, yes, I agree...

Fortunately, one of the huge benefits of living in a semi-remote rural location is a paucity of visits from some of the less-welcome members of one's family. ;) I live with my wife and my dog; and it's just right...no need to "cope"... :)
