I have two xp3s that are 7 years old. Still going strong.

The old Fluval 2 plus internal, must be 7 years old the one I have; good build quality and is dead silent. Always use it for small set-ups, I'm dreading the day it breaks as I'm unsure if that line is discontinued with the introduction of the U series

Fluval 403 lasted 7 years before the original o-ring went bad.

My two Marineland Stealth Pro (made in Italy) lasted 14 to 15 years.

Aquaclear 20 (the older model of the AC 50) lasted 9 years.

Fluval 404. Best friends dad had it 5 years before me and I've had it for just over a year. cleaned once. Flow is still good. However I've kept a sponge over the intake

I have an Odyssea CFS500 that will be 3 in March here. Never so much as broken a clip or tightening bolt. Nada. For the money invested, I would definitely buy another.

Eheim 2028 Pro II at 4 years. Marine land Emp400 at 7 years. I think if you give great care to equipments they will last.

Bought an Aquaclear 110, 2 years ago. It finally kicked the dust. During that time i went through 6 impellers and 18 impeller shafts. {This is with the intake strainer 6 inches below the surface. Most expensive filter I have ever owned.

My emperor 400 bought at the same time has needed nothing but media.

Rena xp3 has been going since 2008 been through 3 moves and some rough handling never once gave me trouble. Actually just ordered 2 more.

CFS 500 is has never given me any trouble in two years either

Aquaclear 500 7 years nothing but media
