Tell u the truth... you will need to pay someone to take that off your hand. I would not even want that fish even if you gave it to me. It just does not look nice at all. I know it's an Asian, but it just looks too jacked up.

I mean im not thinking of making money on this but i would still like some moeny for it as at the end of the day its still a banjar red arowana, its a healthy fish now, just the face thats going to take a long time to heal, because of this reason i cant justify to give this away for free.

Dude please take what I am about to say with a grain of salt.

If the picture you posted is what the fish looks like, the adage stands A PICTURE IS WORTH A THOUSAND WORDS!!!

Personally the only way I would put that fish in one of my tanks is as a rescue given to me for FREE for the express purpose of getting that fish back to optimum health.

Before you take any offence as what I just said remember you are the one who put forth a thread asking what your aro was worth.

To me it is not worth me spending a penny on it to obtain it as I am sure going to be spending pretty pennies on it trying to get it to recover if it ever did recover. And if it did not recover and kept its look similar to what it is now, I would have to relegate it to one of my tanks where it was not visible to the general public for one simple reason I HAVE NO DESIRE TO HAVE THE BLAME FOR HOW THIS FISH LOOKS LAID ON ME and I really do not want to keep answering the same ? of IS THAT FISH SUPPOSE TO LOOK LIKE THAT.

I sense an underlying I don't care about this fish in the way you speak of it, and at how casually you are willing to say you need to get rid of a gift someone gave you.

If you truly are just looking to get rid of this gift be a dear and give the gift to another keep free of charge, commit a random act of kindness with the fish.

What is interesting is the tank/water doesn't look half that bad.. Of course you can't tell the water readings by a picture, but ive seen healthier looking fish in dirtier water. Wouldn't doubt the fish was hatched with that deformity. Maybe the reason for the gift.

Has anyone here seen the results of only topping off your tank for 4 years?
If you live in my area you can see it at a LFS here that has some ugly african cichlids in there that was a trade in(no credit was given obviously). They are currently surviving in a tank with some sort of 2' pictus cat that can't seem to catch them.

Honestly, I'd be scared to even put that in my tank. Who knows what other stuff is still infested in it. Forget paying for it, I dont even think I would do it if you paid me.
... funny but V E R Y true. No one has ever seen that before and what if it is something that can be given to a tankmate?

But, very funny
