I'd love to put a few humans down. It'd make this place a lot better to live in. But yeah. If I were suffering I'd rather be taken out of my misery. I think it's worse to let a living thing suffer.

:iagree:

dude, the fish had no mouth or tail left.... wtf was he suposed to do?

Yes it may have survived but chances are it would have struggled and suffered till it died.

He made the correct decision, end of story.

I've worked in a funeral home (college) and I'm employed at a hospital now...I've learned a lot about something that Del apparently knows nothing of.......

QUALITY OF LIFE

theres a point were something can be saved and cant be saved

people seem to come fall in the level were it can be saved but put it down thinking it cant.

ive seen it several times and it really is sad -_-

as for the red devil, maybe it couldnt be saved and would have died minutes or hours later.

but im certain that if it lived it would live out a normal live, its lips might be done but the rest of the mouth structure and its (the teeth plates in the throat) its ability to suck in food and water would still be functional.

There is a certain point, where as bein a responsible fish keeper, we have to make difficult choices. You can't always think about yourself and how much you want to keep that fish. Sometimes you have to think about the fish and what would be best for it. I believe deeply that the right thing was done. Had he tried to keep the fish alive, that would have been cruel.

I know we are talking about a fish, but i have seen people ( loved ones and relatives) that If kept alive would be on life support for the rest of their lives and that is not LIVING!!!!!!!!! Ie.... that fish was beyond that level of which you speak sir!!:)

I did

my golden retriever

she had cancer tumors, couldnt stand, couldnt eat, blah, blah, blah, everything we tried had failed so we had no ther choice put to put her down.

i could see in her eyes that she didnt want to die.
