I did
my golden retriever
she had cancer tumors, couldnt stand, couldnt eat, blah, blah, blah, everything we tried had failed so we had no ther choice put to put her down.
i could see in her eyes that she didnt want to die.
I had the same experience with my Chow mix, she was 7 years old. Some type of lympnode cancer.
Think I'm gonna side with del on this one. Of course this is based on a picture, which does look pretty bad. But what about the fishes will to live? If given time to recover, and was able to eat(I've seen blood parrots with completelt unfucntional mouths survive). Now the fish would not have been able to live in the same tank again, but if it's will to live was strong it should of had a chance.
I think there are too many times animals are put down because of the inconveience it would be on the owner the take care of it.
Comaring animals to humans though? Way off, two completely different things
As far as quality of life, well that's a matter of perspective. Some would say keeping an animal in a small glass box is not a high quality of life. And yes even a 8' x 2' x 2' is a small glass box.
