In need of advice -car stuff-

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I’m realizing it’s basically impossible for me to settle on one car. Since we’re on the topic of German cars I thought I’d add one more. The Audi sport Quattro from the mid 80s.

This is a classic car, it put Audi on the map as regards to rallying. No one could touch the Audi Quattro back in the day.

Supercars and luxury brands have never appealed to me.

After driving a 1/2 ton or bigger truck at work and outside i realized a 1/2 ton isn’t overly practical for my lifestyle. For how often I would need and benefit from the extra size I couldn’t justify the extra price. When the time came for me to get a new vehicle I bought what I wanted. I went with a new Chevy Colorado LT and I am very happy with it. I was contemplating the Colorado or the Tacoma but after they removed the voodoo blue color for 2022 the choice was clear. I wasn’t going to drive a purple truck! The only regret I have with my new purchase is not going with the ZR2 model. I slightly prefer the lift, larger tires, and overall more sporty appearance of the ZR2.

If I were to do everything again, my daily driver would be the Chevy Colorado ZR2 and my weekend cruiser would be a Chevy Camaro ZL1 or SS.

I had look this one up, as I do with most US vehicles! It looks very similar to the Ford Ranger which I currently drive. Very nice, especially in the blue pictured. 2023-chevy-colorado-009.jpg

I miss my ranger, I had a 2004 Ford Ranger Edge, stepside in black, with a soft tonneau cover- only 2 things I’d change, I wouldn’t have gotten a 5 speed pickup and I would have had sand bags in the bed on January 2nd 2007- when I did a 360 spin on black ice ( going about 25mph) and totaled the truck, had to be cut out of the vehicle by the jaws of life. I was 22 and clueless- after I got to the ER I wandered out and walked a mile to my job, at the time I was unloading furniture trucks and proceeded to work a 14 hr shift. Caught a ride home and slept for 36 straight hrs. Very concussed, 4 broken ribs and my knee that has been pinned between the engine and the frame had and still has a partial MCL tear- also the ribs are still hanging.
But I loved that truck, can’t wait until they release the new rangers, what we have now has been sold in europe for about 10 yrs

If money was no problem then I couldn't stop with 1,.I'd need a car in each category,
Hypercar, super car, sports car, luxury sedan, compact , micro, mini truck, 4x4 diesel practical use, 4x4 monster truck diesel, gas truck super charged, then comes the customs, some 60s caddys, some 70s muscle, some classic 80s and early 00 trucks, and of course a drag car/truck and a track car.
I could go into detail for each car in each category buy I could honestly write a book to each of my choices and why.

I think you have multiple car syndrome, lol.

Hahahaha,
A vehicle should always serve a purpose to be best enjoyed in my eyes,
A drag car, can't be a luxury cruiser or a 4x4 diesel can't be a subcompact to be its best I'm sure someone could build some sort of Frankenstein built that covers it all but still hard in my eyes. This has always been the way to go

My example, purpose-built sleeper drag truck
4x4 cummins diesel pushing 900hp 1500lb to
75mm Single turbo, 100% over injectors, dual injection pumps (cp3) fuel system, custom tuning, minor top-end work, full billet trans, custom converter. All Dom tube and hemmed steering conversion and full trusted front diff.
For an 8000 lb truck, it was a rocket. It consistently Ran the 1/8 mile @ 7.1 seconds I believe 96mph.
Hits the 60 ft mark @ 1.6 seconds
The truck would make 60 lb of boost and roast tires even at 80 mph. On stock tires, I could break lose at 120mph. Never underestimate a well-built diesel truck.
Needless to say, I'd build this vehicle first then continue on my list above.
