Thank you!I agree wholeheartedly. A couple of years ago I had an Audi S3. I had read beforehand that it's "rival" in class was the Volkswagen Golf R. The golf was cheaper, and the guys from "Top Gear", the motoring show, had basically said that the golf was wayyyy better driving too. So why didn't I opt for the golf R!
Simple.....my own personal taste and preference.
We all have different tastes. I just love the shape and styling of the Audi hatchback, I always have. Don't get me wrong I'm not a fan of them all, I think the "Q" series are ugly as sin, and I have no love for the sedan models too.
For the record, I have never driven a BMW in all my life, nor a Mercedes. Both these models have always been competitors of Audi. For all I know both of them might be way better that the Audi, but I don't really care.
If I got rid of my Ford Ranger tomorrow, and opted for another car, there is a strong likelihood that I would end up with another Audi hatchback.
The hatchbacks do have a unique look to them for sure, certainly coupling performance with a look, that until rally racing, it wasn’t associated to.
Im no fan of luxury SUVs or trucks myself, seems kind of inappropriate to me.
I would highly encourage you to drive a BMW, one with AWD for comparable handling. When I was running the airport rental agency I had a fleet of 3500 cars at my disposal and the BMW 3 and 5 series, as well as the Infiniti Q50 where the absolute best driving cars I’ve ever experienced. The Infiniti was like strapping into the cockpit of a fighter jet -and the BMWs seems to be intuitive.
a lot of ppl likes the Chrysler 300 but that thing is a sluggish turtle with steering like a shopping cart.
BTW the first stick I ever got to drive was an Austin-Heely 3000 w/2 over drives,
