Just because a fish is leucistic doesn't mean it can't be yellow. Quite on the contrary, leucisticness means "albino with black eyes" in simplest terms. (Same as calling a fish a "black eyed albino" practically)
Look at leucistic algae eaters, osphronemus and so forth - all are yellowish. Heck, most albinos are not even "white" to begin with.

Unless if somebody wants to get all geeky and technical with the Tyrosine positive / negative talk (Seriously though, I'd like to be informed, if this is the case here)

Once again - gorgeous JAG - grab it!
thank you 4 your reply dude, i am getting it just got to wait till the end of the month, then i'll post pick of her how ever you want, i'll poob ask "is she a she or a he?"
but like i say thank you and thank all of you 4 your help

Wow, if it's for sale, box it up!! I'll take it!! You don't see too many xanthic piebald jags anywhere. In fact, that's the 1st I've seen. Ought to look awesome at full adult size.

Here's a pic of one of my males RBSnooks at 9". Check out the differences in the jaw's architecture. Also, my females don't exhibit the brecciated patterning seen in this male.

Sorry for the lousy pic. Aside from being a crappyesque photographer, this pic was taken with a 2.1MP cam. I also can't find pics of my females so, I should probably update the group (especially since they're all over a foot now).

Check out my sticky in the gen aq forum. Not all albinos are yellowish. Albino is the lack of all pigment. Leucistic is the lack of melanin (brown/black). Xanthic displays yellow due to an increase in xanthophores.

Well, can't rely on color differences here. However, at "her" size, were "she" a male, the dorsal and anal fins would reach further towards the caudal peduncle.

Here's a pic of aquamojo's beauty male. Note the obvious extention of the dorsal and anal fins.

if it is a female, get a male. pair that beauty up! get a tank just for the two. It would be worth it if the offspring looks like its mother, every other member on this fourm would be begging you with one.

Then all you have to do is sit and roll in the cash:D
