put the jag in and take the channa out and put it in a different tank for a few days. THEN see what happens to the channa when you put him back in j/k
I think this is stupid to do...why post this on a fish forum where people love fish esp if you are doing this with Cichlids? Sounds pretty dumb ass to me.rumblesushi;102695; said:Like I mentioned before I'm in the process of seeing how compatible my snakehead is with other fish before it grows up.
I've tested it with a bunch of fish so far. It's killed a spotted gar, a hujeta, a convict, a texas cichlid, and attacked a larger oscar.
I heard jaguar cichlids were very aggressive and would stand up to anything so I bought one today to go with my channa.
My channa is 6 inches, and the jag is around 6 inches, maybe slightly less.
The jag went into the channas cave, and the channa did nothing. Just looked confused and turned around a few times looking at the jag.
Then when the jag left the cave the channa rushed out and chased it, bit it twice. The jag then hid behind a filter vertically and I thought it was dead, but it's still alive, I took it out and put it with my jardini and peacock bass.
It didn't stand a chance.
Next week I'm going to buy a 7 inch dovii I've seen and put that with my snakehead. I want to see if my snakehead is compatible with something that stands up to it, so far nothing has.
