thanks for the comments! quick update, got the 4dkh solution in the drop checker. got home and it looked like a lime green color meaning my co2 levels are a bit high.

got two of my rasboras and threw them in, they immediately went to the surface and started gasping. took them out right away and dialed the co2 down a little. ill try again when the drop checker is a dark green color.

i also bought 5 otos and threw them in there. they look ok though. we'll see what happens!

Woke up this morning and this is what color my drop checker was...GREEN!!!!!!!!!! woot!!!! 4dkh and a green color should = approx 30ppm of co2 hopefully its not bright yellow by the time i get home!!

I'll try to add the rasboras later again today. FYI I'm currently running about 3~4bps. i think i was running 5~6bps before i got the drop checker and that was a bit too much...

actually yeah! when all 4 bulbs are one, the HC is covered in tiny bubbles which eventually break free and rise to the surface. cool stuff to watch!!

Yeah it is, I love it when they pearl, it shows that they are producing so much oxygen that the water column can't absorb it in time.

Check your parameters and toss those rasboras in there!

yeah man i tossed in a few yesterday since the drop checker was green and not yellow this time. i let a few swim around for about 30min and they looked fine, so i threw the rest of them in there.

still doing good this morning!! time to get about 60 more!! lol i need to get pics up.

also starting to see some BGA grow, and a few others that i havent ID' yet. ill post pics of the algae and fish later today...

Ok, as promised, here's some better pics of the tank and setup. This time using a digital camera!!! Some pics were before I added fish. Pic of algae is what I believe to be BGA, somebody correct me if I'm wrong.

That is a fine looking tank. congrats.... Maybe you could help me set one up...and keep me away from it because I would just fill it with water and dump the damn fish in ... ha ha ha
