I have a 75 gallon that I have had set up for a couple of weeks. Right now it has minnows in it for cycling but soon to have some sunfish swimming around. :grinyes:
Probably just bluegill unless I can catch something different. This article has been a great help. :clap

I love keeping centrarchids. Currently i have largemouth bass, bluegill, redspotted sunfish (Lepomis miniatus), bantum sunfish, longear sunfish, and a warmouth. Soon I plan on adding a flier. My favorite sunfish to keep is the shadow bass. I lost mine when I moved and have not been able to collect one here.

I've been having 3 sunfish in 1 of my 75-gal aquariums for 3-years now, they have great color and personality, not only great as food but as pets as well:drool:

Ha ! That is funny I just got a freen sunfish from a local lake yesterday , and then I find this article good stuff .The green sunfish is a pretty cool fish to keep in an aquarium .No problems so far.Just not really taking to dried foods but ive only had it a day.
