I've been saying the same thing. Why are piranha illegal? NO piranha grows to the size of a pacu. It's the PACU should be illegal!
Even this boils down to politics.
People love the headlines Local Fisherman Catches Piranha, when in fact it's a red belly pacu and the reporter does not take the time to research.... most people wouldn't know what a pacu is, so they spin it on the piranha.

What does size of a fish have to do with the law? It doesn't boil down to politics. There is nothing political about fish. Pollotitians don't give a **** about fish. There no political motive there.
But it's just one less fish you can cram in a 55g. Bummer.
