A lot has changed with the 25K in the recent past months. All of the smaller and lower quality koi have been adopted out to local koi enthusiasts to leave about 50 koi in the exhibit. Smaller mahseer, yellowcheek, and other smaller cyprinids had been taken out because a wels catfish went in. Then suckermouths had been removed because sturgeon went in.

We lost our Quasimodo after ~6-7 years with us at 2 feet:

And one of the 4 orfes, for no reason I can think of... our water has not gone over 81-82 F but this is too warm for them and our only saving grace is a strong flow and vigorous aeration.

From 8" to 14" in half a year:

Damn, I totally forgot about this build - one of the most ingenuity-based builds I've seen. How's it holding up? Coming up on 3 or 4 years now, right?

Thank you so much. No, not yet. Has been running 2 years now in full operation. No problems so far.

Thank you bro C Chub_by Yeah, Stan the Observer said the same on YouTube. IDK how to tell because this is a long fin or half-long-fin, plus it is half reverted back to natural coloration. It has no barbels. This is ALL I could tell you. If you are inclined, explain your reasoning. I have been seeing so many abnormal goldfish with all kinds of deviations and deformities that my eye lost the ability to distinguish them from hybrids between goldfish morphs or some other carasius / carpio hybrids (the ablity my eye probably never had in the first place haha).

Now I have just remembered too: I rescued it from a 3,000 gal semi natural outdoor pond with a few smaller koi (12") and a bunch of goldfish, the normal red / orange comet, some standard fin some long fin, and I was surprised to find a whole bunch of brown / black / olive green "goldfish" in there too (initially invisible in the murky, dirty pond) when I pumped down the pond, which I could only assume came from the spawns within the pond and it is known that a certain large percentage of goldfish revert back some way or all the way to the natural Carasius carasius coloration.

What are your thoughts on this? I claim no knowledge of what I am saying above - only vague and weak hear-say and suppositions. I never was interested much in goldfish and their breeding.
