lol yeah this tank might as well be in my front yard. It is in my dining room and gets direct sunlight all day long. The bottom 6" is the only spot with algea growth where the sunlight goes straight through the back of my canopy to the bottom front panel.

40 watts is waaay overkill on a 125g but the pond UV I had laying artound and it's for protozoan control as well. When I use my magfloat that close to the sand, it get caught and scratches the tank so I need to switch the sand to the same stuff I have in all my other tanks, just havent gotten around to it..
