Lots of pics past and present

How are the mixteco's doing Adam? Have they started to colour up more yet?
Not significantly. The biggest ones look the best, some are still under 2". I'm seeing a lot of variation in size. I'll try to post an update tonight, as I have some other fish I haven't shown yet.

Look forward to the pictures.

Males grow faster than females so that could explain the size difference. You will also normally get a couple of runt fish in a decent sized group.

By the way can you please id my Oscars? It's very confused based on the comments I received for my posts.

Basically nearly all oscars bought from fish stores are the same species, despite all the different colour types.Astronotus ocellatus is the Oscar you have wether tiger, red tiger, gold, red lutino or albino they are all line bred colour forms selectively bred for certain traits.
There are other species of Oscar but you would normally need to order them from a more specialist supplier.

Yes I knew about that those beauties are bred for colors. But can you guess what kinda color form is my little ones?

I've had a look at your posts and round my neck of the woods they were called albino tiger oscars.
They may have a different name in a different town/country.
That's the thing with common names they vary and change depending who you ask.
