Mangrove tree pod washed up

This is 9 days root growth since the pods were put in the tank.

I pulled a couple pods out of the sand this morning just to see root growth progress.
These pods are now placed in a halved bamboo stem gouged out just enough to secure the pods hangung over the surface of the main tank.

I am very into appropriate natural habit for plants and fish, so whenever possible I take, or check photos, to gauge success, so I may sometimes overindulge pictorially.
Went out at a lower tide yesterday to get some new shots.
Because the island where I live is basically just a rock, only the tip mountain top stuck in the ocean, the habitat for where mangrove pods end up, is slightly different than the norm.
As opposed to being able to sink roots in sand and muck type substrate, and use aerial roots as props, the mangrove here have adapted by spreading roots in the few inches of sand and splay their root systems on top of the substrate wherever possible.

10 day update since the last shot, there are about a dozen starter saplings in the mangrove mini-forest.
Most of the ones in the darker, partial sun areas are still surviving, but lagging a bit behind in leaf growth.
