Metal monster 3k

Well a small delay on the build but some good news for the rest of my stock. A local fish store had a fire and contaced me about a 500 gal ive been wanting for years, sooooo i had to put a down payment on it. I usually dont spend alot on tanks but this one of def. Worth it. My sharks are gonna pop a boner when i drop em in :) and i plan on using it as a temp pond for some of the cats in my 1700 so i can further this 3k build. Heres a sneek peek of my new tank :)

Rounded end "race track" tank...10'x3'x30" hopefully my coral cat sharks will enjoy the extra space and lack of corners so they pop out some pups for me :)

Great build!

Somehow it brings back memories - at a diff scale. of course !- of the first tank I had (back in the late 70´s) that was - like most at that time - metal braced.
I kept that 30g tank for some 25 years.

Awsome dude nice looking tank.I hope the fire didnt cause to much damage to the store.

Store is toast lol.....not terrible but there gutting everything and getting it all replaced through insurance so they are "throwing away" the tank im buying lol.....soo i think there making out a bit, cant say i wouldnt do the same if i were in there position

Never owned an original metal framed tank but ive seen alot in person. Love the classic look and def. love steel as my material of choice for anything i build. My 650 build looks so clean most people dont even know i made it when they see it in person :)

Thanks chicxulub! Me too... worried i cant get it in my house due to the height , and the price tag is def. Outta my range but its a killer tank even at 20 yrs old. I just couldnt refuse the sale. I usually scrounge around for super scratch and dent items lol
