Metal monster 3k

Rust is not an issue if you coat the metal with the right paint. I use "Devoe" brand chemical resistanit one part epoxy paint. My 650gal has already proven my methods work and last as its been running for about 3 years now. This is just a larger scale of the same concept, i have no funds right now to dump into this tank as i just put a deposit on another 500gal acrylic so even if i did more welding i wouldnt be able to get this frame in my basement for a while yet. Theres a 1700 gal pool where this 3k needs to go so thats a whole nother issue in itself. Everything will come into play soon. The 500 im waiting to pick up will be the start of the tear down of the 1700 so lots of work to even get the space cleared. It wont take long for me to slap the tank together once my largest fish a moved in something temporary. If anyone can find me a link to buy rectangle shape intex pools that would help lol. Thats step one to tear down my existing pool and move my largest fish.

Getting close to getting the frame in my house :).... Picking up my 500 gal double bull nose acrylic tommorow so thats the start of my temp holding situation for the big cats floating around in the pool. Happy happy sharks will be put it in after that. I had to bite the bullet and cash in on my childhood savings bonds lol but i'd say they went to a good cause. Lots of tanks to move now to get the new one in so its time to start the tear down of the intex pool......pics to come

Well unfourtunaetly another dilemma...the 500 i just brought home doesnt fit through my door so i gotta do some surgery on the door jam and somehow squeeze it in. The stand and hood it came with were junk so i had to trash them. My biggest issue is an electrical panel right by the door. It is on a piece of wood. Does anyone think i can unscrew the wood from the wall and move the electrical service box to get the tank in or is that a terrible idea?

Any way to carry it without the handles? Maybe using those furniture moving straps? I am guessing losing the handles would get you through the door.

Must be an interior door, what type of electrical panel is it your looking at? Hopefully not the whole house breaker box.

Its def. the whole house electrical box so i am very afraid to move it even though it is attached to a large piece of wood. I'll get a pic of the situation when i get home tonight. The last tank i brought in was a 450gal 8'x3'x30.5" and it just bearly made it. This 500 is 10'x3'x31.5" so that extra 1" in tank height is what is giving me problems getting through the door and past the main electrical box. I cannot let this tank go lol its just too perfect for any fish. I'd like to club the guy who made it 31.5" tall instead of even 30" or itd be inside already.

The handles are not an issue as the tank will be flipped on its side to be moved in, it is the tank height of 31.5" and my existing door jam being exactly 31.5" so i need to remove all the door trim to get it in. My electrical box is located about 4' in from the door it needs to come through and it sits about 4" off the wall. I may get lucky since theres so many opening in the tank top I just have a really bad feeling its going to get "stuck" halfway in and halfway out lol...so if i can move/lift the electrical box temporarily up a couple inches it should slide rite in.
