Does your dehumidifier run 24/7 always hard running? 20% is amazing, I try to keep my house around 40-45%, but I also know that if I run my dehumidifier hard I could get to down allot but that thing uses about 600-800 Watts of power when its fully running and I don't want that but maybe I should be keeping mine lower.

For humidity i run a dehumidifier 24/7 that drains into my sump pump...even with a 12' open top pool humidity is 20%. When i first moved in i also put up 25mil plastic on the basement ceiling to create a "vapor barrier" and it works very well for insulating the basement temp against the upstairs temp.

Yea, I live youngstown. I used to buy a lot of the sa/ca cichlids that people would drop at John's place. I almost bought the big tank in the back but at the time he was getting rid of it my wife and I had just bought a house so I couldn't swing it. I haven't been in John's shop for months I didn't even know he had a fire.

Seriously if you ever need some help just give me a shout I'm just across town.

I guess mine is hard running...its on full blast high speed all hours of every day lol..but one dehumidifier runnining is the least of my worries for electricity. I probably have 8-12 mag pumps running at all hours too plus another 24-30 filters.

Haha tigerbarbs racing would be funny...and yeah people usually call them racetrack tanks or double bullnose. Or double bullett lol

Well mate, you have the tank so throw some tiger barbs in the double bullnose haha, when you have had enough just throw a big snapper in then the barbs will really race while they can =D

think I need a dehumidifier also 60-70%.

All clean finally and i started the plumbing and sump. Theres a seam on tank i dont like so i will be reinforcing it with weld on #40. I thought id get lucky and be able to fill it up but id rather make it better before it gets worse.
