Im always busy doing nothing lately lol....I've actually been pretty broke aswell, last electric bill I got slammed with was $460.00 so i'm trying to go through my hoard again and get rid of the "smalls". I had to order some cheap coral to hold me over for a bit :) lol...I was sad I couldn't afford anything off wes's latest list. These damn rescues are killin me for tank space. Its nice to get things for free, but they usually end up costing me more in the end. Good news is my marine sharks are about ready to be moved so I can upgrade some other freshies when that's all said and done. I by no means can afford half the stuff I have running but i'll get by somehow haha...I am also disappointed to not have any new news for the 3k but I knew going in I had no money for it in the first place. I roll with what I can get, when I can, so everyday is a debate what to do lol.

Lol. People dont understand the work that goes into these setups. Especially when we have another other couple lives with work, family and all the other fish stuff we already have. And then some days we need to just relax and do nothing at all when we finally get a free moment. I have thought about taking pto sometimes when Im working on a large project. But I need that for real vacation and holidays

Agreed lol... and well said. Anyone who manages insane setups and true monsters doesnt have time for real life let alone more projects. Every day is a project in itself. But the time will come for the upgrade, setting up the tank is an afterthought. Having everything ready and the funds for it are where the work comes in. Patience my friends lol...believe me i wish it was done already too

Small update...drilled my first glass tank for a sump, so thats 8 tanks hooked up to my drip system now (650,450,300,230,197,180,55x2). Picked up my free hayward sand filter and pump from the inlaws and just built a new monster worthy filter for my 1700 pool. I love the new filter already, wish i would have invented it sooner haha...heres pics.

The entire top 55gal drum is full of bio balls and the bottom drum is a setteling chamber. All the denitrus should accumulate in the bottom barrel and can easily be siphoned out for cleaning when the top is removed. I may put in a shutoff valve on the bottom barrel for even easier matinence but i ran out of uni-seals.
