Metal monster 3k

Thanks animalman! You are 100% correct about the auto drip system. Single handedly the best fish related purchace/install ive ever done by leaps and bounds for myself and especially the fish. Id never set up a tank again without a drip system and cant believe it took me over 15yrs of keeping to finally hook one up. Nice to know someone is being reasonable about my 3k progression lol, like u said running a fleet of other tanks and "real life" dont help the situation but itell happen eventually.

awesome work on the 450. I don't know anyone that could do better. how long do you have to let the #40 sit for each corner? Any plans for the stand? cinder blocks? wood? metal?

The #40 sits anywhere between 15min and 2hrs per seam depending on the batch of glue before i move the tank...the larger batches of glue actually cure the quickest. The stand is right behind the tank lol, its wood. Ive had this setup for about 4yrs now, it just needed a re-repair/refurb with better glue. I had no idea #40 existed 4-5yrs ago.

Oh...I missed that part. Lol. Yeah. I first heard of 40 about a month ago but had no idea what it was. Thanks to you I just really figured out what it was a few days ago!! Thanks!! Haha :D

What did you end up doing with the gar? Hows the 450 coming along? Sorry I have to keep bugging you. I have to live through your projects for another year or two until I can start my own monster projects. :D

No worries lol...not many liner builds out there compared to wood/cement. 450's finally done, im giving it a week to cure before adding water and the suspense is killin me hah...i also redrilled the 450 and redid the filtration ill add a couple pics. All the gar are now in my pool and will stay there as i deem it unfit to give them a downgrade after upgrading them lol...my pool is gettin fuuuulll soo its really time to build now. Ive been quietly working and everythings about in motion now. Waiting for the weather to warm up a bit and a couple smaller setups to sell so i can fund the 3k.

Cant see all my hard work from the pic...but i sniffed hanous epoxy for two weeks in my home to get it back in shape tip and pouring all the seams.

You know when you're watching TV and you suddenly realize "there is no way they can wrap this up in the time they have left! It's gonna be a to-be-continued!"

Well, I had that moment about 3 pages ago on this thread. It's been a lot of fun, and your side projects are pretty good too. I'm very excited to see this thing finished. But now I've gotta wait with everyone else. oh well :)
