Metal monster 3k

I think your link is close but is it a tiger shovelnose?
Your link was a spotted version, but if you type tsn in the search it's got a striped one... The common name matches the initials

Not sure if I missed it... Is there still a huge metal tank coming or was the saltwater tank it?

Saltwater tank was a 500 for my sharks...and the metal tank is still coming once I have more money to finish it :). Frame is complete, I already have the 3 acrylic windows and most of the filtration. Just need money for the new liner and around 24 tubes of 3m5200 and I'm good to go. Patience my friends it's on the way.

Almost done re-repairing my 450...many long days of moving this tank by myself to tip and pour all the seams with weld-on #40. Bottom seams are all done, covered 6 holes in the back wall with patches and have already poured close to a full gallon of glue. Tank was repaired 4yrs ago with weldon #16, and this is y it failed. The #16 is brittle and cracked over time. Hard to tell in the pics but my pours of epoxy now range from 1"-4" :)...tank is pretty rough but i could care less about looks as long as shes gonna hold for another 10yrs+ hopefully. Other than that i still have a few tricks up my sleeve for my other build/s so stay tuned. Still tearing down some smaller tanks so i have more electricy to play with for my new additions to come.

I've just started lurking around the site again after getting out of monsters a few years ago. This has been a fantastic thread to read through. Its so awesome to be able to live a little through another fish fanatics wild dreams. You have done some seriously hard work and maintenance to keep all these tanks up and running. Let alone getting new tanks and updating your fish cave. And building a 3k on top of all that. Work and relationships too. I think we forget that we have lives besides the fish we keep sometimes.

I really can't wait to see progress on the 3k, but all the sideline projects have been totally entertaining too. I was so glad to see you take the time to put in an auto water change system. I plumbed my basement similarly for the couple of "monster" tanks I had back in the day, a 210, 620 and few other small tanks and holding tanks. The auto water change system totally improved every aspect of fish keeping. Especially for the fish. I can only imagine how much time your system saves you and how much healthier your fish are.

It took me a few pages to start figuring out where you were located. Makes me really wish I lived in Ohio still. Euclid, Chardon, Ashtabula, Norwalk and Ashland way back in the day. I wish there were more monster keepers around here. Good to see Didsys on here.

Thanks for the updates and info. Seriously making me think how I could fit a monster in the house somewhere.
