Metal monster 3k

Any new developments? I had a question on your liner that you are planning on using. From my calculations you will need a sheet of at least 16'x24' to cover the inside of your tank without any extra. The larger sizes tend to get pretty pricey, and from what I can tell they only come in 5' increments. Do you know of a way to join 2 smaller sheets or are you gonna bite the bullet and get a sheet with 4 extra feet and just trim the excess of or leave it hang. Where do you plan on getting your liner? Hope all is going well.

I plan on using a 45mil firestone size 20'x25'...maybe even 25'x30' just to be safe. I use a local pond shop for my liners but have also ordered online. Sometimes odd sizes are cheaper. 20'x25' is around $250 and i dont think thats too bad. Liner stores online are weird with prices so u just need to look around. Any said size may be any said price, no real standard to it place to place. Yes u can use seam tape or heat welding to join liners together but id rather just toss one in and forget about it lol...theres some builds where people used cut liner and silicone at the seams but id rather use the whole thing. All is well lately, pima and other fish r gettin big so i need to get in gear on this build lol...biggest thing holding me back now is the cold weather. My 450 is all repaired, back up and running and all is right in the world. Been busy moving/upgrading fish round the house and tearing down more small tanks. Im sure it seems like i do nothing but im always at it every day. Down to 12 tanks running now from 30, only 1 under 100 gal so im gaining more time by the day for future plans.

Well this has improved my morning:) was eagerly waiting for this thread to start up again and hear some (slow) progress, but it's getting there, haha.
Keep the updates coming, this thing will be a beast when done!

Back from the dead :) ...temp pond is beginning construction so i can get my current 12' pool out and 3k frame in its place. New pond room is 7.5'x14' and will serve as an emergency setup in the future if the 3k has any issues. Pond room has been isulated with 1" foam walls and ceiling so time to build the structure itself. Make way for the 3k!
