i got mine from here... (if you want to order these bags.. dont use online shipping charge is wierd... call them up)

http://www.customaquatic.com/customaquatic/subsubcategorypage.asp?subcatindexid=fi-mbfm-mb

i order 3 size with "draw string"

200 micron
100 micron
25 micron

the lower the micron rating, the smaller particulate size it will trap (meaning the lower the number, the faster the bag will clog). Can be rinsed or washed and re-used again and again.

25 micron will make water super clear... but clog faster...

i use a 200 micron i have to wash it once a week
keeps water looking great
i have been thinking of making a DIY cannister filter with one of these

Would that be making it similar to a berlin sump?

I use 400 microns..

I've been using 100 and 55 micron bags for awhile now. The nylon bags are great. You can wash them out and use them over and over. I use to use a layer of sponge, with a micron pad in my wet-drys. The bags are much easier, you don't need the sponge at all.

you need the sponge, still, IMO, because the bag holds particles but it is the sponge that is colonized by the nitrifying bacteria..

That would be true if I didn't have way more bio media than is needed already. That's a valid point though.

and when you wash them out, ( unlews you wash it with tank water ) you kill everything in the bag and have to restart that bag:)
