Micron Filter Bags! keep your water crystal clear!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
So how do you have to mount the filter bags. I will have dual 1.5" pvc coming from the tank. The hang on bag holders I have seen are 1".

I'm going to use a sheet of acrylic sitting on the rim of the tank with a hole cut smaller than the ring on the filter bag.

Just make sure you have a plan to deal with any water that overflows the bag. You're probably positioning the acrylic inside on the lower lip of the tank, so no problem, but if you are positioning it on the top of the tank that could cause spillage.

;) good eye and yes that my plan. 4x8in bag about an 1 1/2" down from the rim of the tank. not sure what tank. a 10 or 20g I'll know more when i got the tanks in hand.

Anything else we should be careful of?

Wow, I didn't know these bags cost a lot of money. I found tons of them with other equipments in the storage shed when we bought the house.

They have the metal basket to hold them but I never use these bags. I use the basket with built-in screen filter for my little pond.
