Some evening mode shots. It's mostly quiet except for the tank bosses. Everyone else has retreated for the night. Boss relaxes along the back wall under the filter waterfall. He loves the flow and can sit there for hours with the water flapping his fins.
The 125 stand will be arriving tomorrow between 12-5pm. I hauled the tank from the garage into the rec room and put it on a dolly. The first shipment of sand arrived today. Background is blue.
The stand is here! All 450 lbs of it, lol. Half of that weight must have been packing. I could make another stand out of the extra wood! The truck driver was kind enough to help me crack the crate open. Took us about 35 minutes. Then we had to turn the whole crate on its side to free the bottom, crack off a wood frame, stand it back up and roll the stand out!
Anyway, here is the side view. Ash wood with clearcoat. The seal is very subtle, the wood doesn't look unnaturally shiny, just rich. I ordered no lip on mine so it has a flat top.
Detail showing door hinges. The craftsmanship of this company has never disappointed. Tip: GET THE CASTER CART WHEELS! They'll save your back and sanity. $600 ain't cheap but it's less costly than a surgically repaired hernia.
