Most difficult to find/ rarest cichlid you own?

Post will differ from by region. Around here if you tell the lfs about cubans, and grammodes, among many other fish that we call common on mfk they have no clue about what your talking about. 2 weeks ago hellman and I went to a lfs that's been around for 25+ years and they didn't know what a cubans or grammodes were and we started telling them its better to order online then to come to the lfs.

Completely true, I had one lfs here that had no idea what i was talking about when I was asking them about cubans. It's interesting to see what is popular in one region, is barely to be found in another.

Here's my girlfriend rare goodies

Apistos: agazzizi firefish, borelli opals, orange flash cacatuiodes, and blue cheeks
Laetacara araguia buckelkopf
Ivanacara adotkeka
Dicrosis maculatus
Microgeophagus altispinosus
Nanacara anomala

She also has tons of rare gobies and killies but I'm lost there, lol

Decker, I'd say easily over half of your list of fish has been available at my LFS in the last year. :) Too bad they don't have a lot of central americans. :( Some of those are definitely rare though.
Since you're obviously big on SAs what's your Holy Grail? Retroculas?

image.jpeg Finally got a decent picture of my arroyo yerbalito. It's still pretty small. Phone isn't very good for taking pictures of fish lol.

You must have a kick ass lfs. I order most of my fish, but we do have 2 good ones here. Retroculos xinguensis is up there. I really want spectablis, zebrina pikes, fogo bass, batrachops. When I was a kid I worked for a giant lfs and I sed to stare at axelrods atlas all day long. I was out of the hobby for a while, but my goal since I'm back in it is too keep species that I've never kept before, except my beloved festae.

My girlfriend is a dwarf cichlid fiend, so its fun because there are for the most part so new to me!

I really would love some xingu pikes...

Where to you live w/ such a kickass lfs?
