My 12'' male Red Devil/Midas

Very nice fish!

Did you start with him at a small size?

What color was he when you first got him?

What colors did he go through during his peel stage?

I start with him at 1''. I bought him in February 2008. Now it is about 2 years old. When i first got him he was white with black lines in middle of its body. After 3'' his colors changed.

That is awesome!

Mine was purchased at 1.5". He is now 3.75", after only 6 weeks. He started as a light orange and is now getting black all over during his peel time.

From the pictures his lip looks like RD, it's V shape.

Look at his top lip from above, see if it's V or more like U shape.

awesome male...but unless you him from a reputable source who knows where he came from, no way to know for sure if it's midas or rd and it's more likely that it's a mix of the 2.

100%. Build says Midas, Lips and mouth say Devil. Regardless it is an awsome fish. Love his coloration. he is solid.

That's probably one of the top condition midas I've seen around here, especially for a 12".
