What is that grass-like plant underwater?

Sorry, but i actually have no idea what its named in English... i'll try asking the shop keeper next weekend when i see him to see if he knows the name? although very unlikely as he only speaks Chinese...

What i do remember is he told me its from India if that helps at all?

I have a 18''x12"x12" just sitting around. I might try this myself :) Im thinking of getting rid of my fish in my 40''x16''x18'' and starting again. Would you recommend doing this with my 40"?

I'll be honest and say, if i were to redo this project right now, i would probably choose a longer, even possibly deeper tank to do it... The main reason for this is then it would make it easier to reach underneath the land area behind the tank...

Otherwise, if i were to redo my current 24" tank, i would consider breaking up the land area into two smaller areas with the middle bit open for easier up-keep... the other possibility is cutting the land area down further and only using a 1/4 of the tanks floor space for land...

Hope that gives you some ideas...

All the best Fat Homer! Do take more pics of the fry!

Thanks, and i'll try and get some pics of the fry, although i've only seen one or two so far and i don't have a macro lens for my DSLR...

As promised, albeit a bit late, here are some update pics of the paludarium along with pics of the new inhabitants or at least 2 of them...

Btw, excuse the dirty glass

Thanks :)

Decided to take a few more pics after cleaning the glass a little...Also, just curious, is there any snail that specializes in eating hair algae? or even a very small fish that does the job?

Oto cats stay really small. I think they are good with plants, but you will have to check that.

^ yeah, i had 2 ottos in there... although one mysteriously died on me... so i may get another 2 to put into the tank...

Ottos die a lot. One theory is that they're collected with cyanide (they're almost always wild caught!).

looking great! I'm battling some hair algae also and would love some suggestions also.
