I set the sump up and gave it a test run and it worked like a charm. The only thing I am not happy with is the noise of the pump but I am going to look into adding more padding under it and try and determine just where the noise is comming from. I also added a viewing window to the sump so I could see the water depth without having to climb in the thing. As soon as the video on youtube finishes processing, I will post it.

Nice looking work. Love the vid. The filter I am building is simular just gonna be on top of the tank so it does not have to be so big 96"x12"x10" Apx 50 gallons. Cant wait to see her filled.

Brand new! You can hear the pump in the video, is it normally that loud? I am going to look at the impeller assembly tomorrow to make sure nothing has gotten it there.

I think all the bigger pumps are loud, after adding all kinds of padding my mag 24 still hums, insulating the cabinet will be the next option, and/or maybe going with two mag 12s instead.

Good call on the viewing window, you can keep a good eye on your water level now.

Go to looking at the pump today and it's going back. I am going to switch it out for another one. I think the impeller is bad. This might delay the fill. I am sure the turnaround time on the pump will take 10 days.
