Issack.........your 500g setup is truly inspirational. The best quality i've seen yet. I too am an avid woodworker, our winter here in NY has been especially brutal this year, and since my shop isn't heated it's very frustrating waiting for spring....LOL

When spring does come, i spend to much time on the scoot, so i still don't get much done....LOL

Congratulations once again on a beautiful project.

Winters must be brutal there.. sorry about the cold weather.. I'm glad i made a smile on another woodworkers face man.. this summer bust out a build and let's get a fine aquarium furniture thread going.. I'm not done yet.. i'm going to build one of my friends a tank.. Thank you for the kind words..

def one of the meanest tanks in the islands. CHERRY nuff said. curious though how are the ehiems holding up.. i woulda thought this tank got a sump in the works.

Eheims are monsters and the flow rate is great on the tank.. I don't need no stinking FX5s for flow.. lol I got Biological on lock with these pumps.. it's awesome.!!

So are you doing a fishless cycle ? A bacteria in a bottle cycle? Or a fishy cycle? You got all three going I have never seen that.

Well i started out with a bacteria bottle cycle.. and after a week my LFS owner said it's ready for some fish to get her going.. and he was right. these barbs are rocking out in the tank. within two days my water is fully crystal clear now from having the fish in there .. things are smoothing out well with the cycle.. Whatever works in my eyes.. I think a lot of these things that involve this fishless cycle are over rated.. as is many other things in the world.. if it looks good, and feels good with intuitiion then do it is my vote..

Amazing looking work. How thick did you apply the pond liner stuff? At Pond Armor's web site they list coverage at 10mil's thick. Basically, what quantity of the liner stuff did you use?

Thanks for taking the time to fix the photos...my computer almost committed suicide loading, but it was so worth it! That is truly a piece to be proud of. You just can't find something of that caliber in a store.

u did an amazing job. cant wait to see it stocked with the main fish you are planing on getting.
i want to make one similar but it would be around 720gallons allready made a 3d model on googlesetch up the dimensions inside would be like 8ft L x 4ft W x 3ft H. but i plan on starting on it next winter lol.
